Galaxy Girl's Inquisitive Pioneer Adventures by Briana Andromeda Purcell
Ms Briana Andromeda Purcell - the one and only Galaxy Girl here! I go with you on this Awesome Science & Math Activity Book which is a journey and an adventure through many sciences, mostly Physics and Astronomy, touching upon Geology - Chemistry - Earth Science - Biology too - with many different topics that can take you across the spectrum of a year-long course. In these Activities you employ basic everyday materials found in low cost stores, hardware stores, and even at home in the kitchen - wow -
- such as rubber bands, measuring cups, paper clips, string, marbles, desk lamps, measuring tapes, rulers, protractors, bathroom scales, and so on. Each Activity is hands-on Activities ( 53 of them with a total of around 100 Labs ) and all require taking measurements and the analysis of the data. The book is rich in information on history - tales of Newton / Galileo / Archimedes, with talk of application of the ideas involved like Conservation of Energy - all the essential and basic key science ideas you need to know!
Imagine being able to use a Paper Calculator for the book which this book has as a template with directions, examples and all. It is a Slide Rule, you can make and use to solve the needed formulae in the book in an Activity.
For example you can find the Acceleration due to Gravity for the Earth with a superball, a stopwatch ( even an app on a phone ), and a measuring tape. Weigh your family car with a Ruler and a Tire Pressure Gage, Make an Electric Motor, Estimate the Number of Leaves on a Tree, the Number of Electrons on a charged piece of Styrofoam, Make a Battery with Tin Foil - pennies - and vinegar, Determine the Size of the Moon with a yardstick and an index card, determine the Speed of Light with a piece of cheese or chocolate - a microwave - a paper plate - and a ruler, Using a Thermometer, the clock on the wall, a measuring cup, a Styrofoam cup, and water you can determine the amount of energy given off by the Sun.
This can be used alongside any and all science textbooks since it can be done at home ( with proper permission and supervision when needed ) and is a great learning tool since it employs Reading, Writing, Visual, Measuring, Analyzing Data, and Tangible Skills in using the items and tools of science to investigate. Be the detective - the explorer - the mathematician - the scientist - in sum, the Inquisitive Pioneer along with Galaxy Girl here. As I note in the book ( going to be part of a book series btw with book 2 already on the go plus other Galaxy Girl books - Recipe and Kitchen Activities - plus Galaxy Girl Bracelets on the go too )
Explore & Enjoy! Be Brilliant!

Galaxy Girl Bracelets
Hello Cosmic Explorers! Briana Andromeda Purcell here with new awesome items for sale! Here is the series of Galaxy Girl bracelets!
Each of the Galaxy Girls is unique - no two are alike, just like all of us - each has a name and personality and things she likes or are her values - see the document near this item on this page for their names and interests and such.
I made these after a number of years ago when I decided to make one for a character I wrote about some 40 years ago and have now come back to in my life. In doing so I recalled her friends who I have dubbed the 6 Sisters, so I made one for each and then realized I could take this idea and present these to everyone else. Who doesn't love a gorgeous bracelet and now one which You Can Name, Give Her Own Attributes To and she comes directly from Your Mind, Your Heart, and Your Imagination! Wow
Each is made from plastic beads and there are a large variety, such as the Green Galaxy Girl, the Purple Galaxy Girl, and so on. As I noted I named them and such but use your imagination and empower them and yourself.
They come in a colorful bag and you can choose the color ( see the phot of the bags and tell me which otherwise I will choose one randomly ). Also if you like the number of beads on yours ( I try to choose odd and prime numbers in my beads numbers ) but if for some reason you would like 1, 2, or up to no more than 3 beads added to your bracelet let me know this too in your email about your bracelet. With no instructions I choose the bag and the bracelet you receive is the one in the photo - I will not mix any two bracelets - you would have to buy them both and do it yourself. Which is another important point - the clasp end can be unscrewed hence you can add, subtract, or rearrange beads as you like. This hold is not strong and a lot of movement will allow it to fall open - this has happened to me in the past - then I realized dip the unscrewed end in a good glue and reassemble it and viola - it holds indefinitely - I have one that is 5 years old.
To indicate which one you like just use the code with the bracelet in the phots - the letters are easy : P is for Purple, G is for Green, B is for Blue, R is for Red, O is for Orange, Y is for Yellow, Ra is for Rainbow, BW is for Black & White, Pi is for Pink, F is for Floral ( which has both floral and animal print patterns, and A is for Artistic ( composed of a random set of random patterned beads. So one you select might say, Y1 tell me this and this is Yellow #1.
Also note that not all beads are of the same color or style - some are pale - others much deeper in color - some have mixtures so a yellow one could have hints of red, orange, white, and such but is mostly yellow on the yellow bracelet. Some beads are faceted whilst others are smooth. Some have the night and day ends on the bracelet - black at one end and clear or white at the other to symbolize this. Some have imitation brass beads at their ends. Note the photos are the final answer and is the one you would get if that one is selected.
Realize beads are small hence dangerous to pets and small - young children ( under the age of 12 ) so you must have parental permission to have one and it is best to secure the bracelet once you receive it and have decided its final form for everyone's safety.
The numbering goes like this - say you like P1 - tell me this in the email along with other instructions, such as the bag color ( 3 to choose from - see photo ) and whether or not you want additional beads ( up to 3 only ).
The cost is $25 and this includes shipping. The bracelet comes in a USPS Small Flat Rate Box.
If it is not what you were expecting - ship it back to me at your cost and I can do one of two things you indicate to me via email - 1) send you another one or 2) return your original purchase price for the bracelet ( not including shipping ) of $20.

Galaxy Girl Metal Bracelets
Hello Galaxy Girl enthusiasts, Cosmic Adventurers, and Universe Inquisitive Pioneers! Briana Andromeda Purcell aka Galaxy Girl here with my latest installment of Galaxy Girl items.
Here are metal bracelets with typically 3 charms and some have more on them and they are all uniquely themed - there may be nautical, magic, owls, loved ones, mythical creatures, and so on.
Most charms are gold toned but not gold and the silver charms and bracelets are not silver - all are a base metal.
Each is 17 dollars US where 5 is for shipping whilst the other 12 is the actual bracelet.
I will send your bracelet to you in a small flat rate USPS box.
You select the bracelet by its unique number it is M followed by a number, such as M2, M6 and so on.
For the hobbyist you might consider a small dab of super glue to the connecting wire for the charm if you wish to make it permanent - otherwise be wary of it around sweaters, scarfs, and such - I have had some pulled off - I did not glue mine yet but they are quite durable.
These bracelets will be added just as the Beaded Galaxy Girl Bracelets as I construct them and there are many themes to come both for these and the Rainbow collection of the beaded ones each of which have their own special meaning as well - be sure to read about them if interested.
Here the symbolism becomes your story, your meaning, your person and personality expressed through your likes and interests and loves and imagination.
Be your own story writer and teller.
Always Explore and Enjoy
